I am incredibly passionate about helping people feel informed and confident about birth.

Hi! I am Jenna, the force behind ABC Hypnobirthing.
I am a birth educator, certified Hypnobirthing practitioner and I love helping people to relax and enjoy birth.
I am Mum to Lily, Seb and Ava (10, 5 and 3!) who keep me well and truly on my toes but are a lot of fun and make Motherhood a pretty magical experience. Their births very much ignited the spark for my passion for Hypnobirthing.
When I’m not running around after my children or teaching people about birth I love getting outdoors, hiking, paddleboarding and sometimes playing tennis (although I’m still pretty terrible at it.) You can often find me unwinding with practices like breathwork, reiki, sound healing and meditation. I enjoy music, coffee and spending time with my awesome bunch of family and friends.
I must be getting old as this year my husband and I have traded holidaying in the likes of Ibiza for buying a motor home and I honestly can’t wait to go exploring as much of the world as we can in our home on wheels.
So how did I become a Hypnobirthing teacher?

I had my first child in 2014, and went in extremely unprepared.
I took my birth education from TV’s One Born Every Minute and adopted the famous ‘go with the flow’ approach. My view was that the doctors and midwives were the experts, and they would tell me what I needed to do. This unfortunately led to a very disappointing birth experience that was highly medicalised, long, painful and had me swearing that I was never doing it again.

‘This must be what birth is like’
My complete lack of knowledge and birth preparation meant that during my labour I had to face many unpleasant situations that I was completely unprepared for, whilst feeling extremely vulnerable. I felt a total loss of control and this had a hugely negative impact on my birth, my baby and the way I felt about the experience. I was left believing that this must be what birth is like – after all it didn’t look much better on One Born Every Minute!

5 years later, I was pregnant again…
Luckily I found a Hypnobirthing course and this changed everything. Hypnobirthing gave me the knowledge and confidence to take some control of my subsequent births and left me feeling informed, confident, strong and capable. I had two very different but wonderful birth experiences as a result of using my Hypnobirthing techniques where I felt calm, in control and believe it or not pretty euphoric at times! I managed both births without medical pain relief and the connection I felt with my partner and bond with my babies was incredible.
I can honestly say that, thanks to hypnobirthing, I loved giving birth. I was in absolute awe of the process and of what my body was capable of.
After the birth of my second child, I had this epiphany moment—so this is what birth is meant to be like! I remember thinking, everyone needs to know about hypnobirthing and how incredible birth can be.
That’s when I knew I wanted to share this knowledge and help others experience a more positive, empowering birth.
In 2020, I travelled to London to train with Katherine Graves Hypnobirthing, becoming an accredited practitioner. And with that, ABC Hypnobirthing was born.
